From stays commencing on Wednesday, 1 April 2026, an ‘Accommodation Tax’ will be introduced in Hokkaido and Otaru City.

As the accommodation rates listed on our website do not include this tax, we kindly request payment at the front desk upon check-in.

 

【Accommodation Tax (per person per night)】

For accommodation fees under ¥20,000:

¥300 (Hokkaido ¥100 + Otaru City ¥200)

For accommodation fees between ¥20,000 and under ¥50,000:

¥400 (Hokkaido ¥200 + Otaru City ¥200)

For accommodation fees of ¥50,000 or more:

¥700 (Hokkaido: ¥500 + Otaru City: ¥200)

 

※The applicable ‘accommodation charge’ refers to the ‘room-only’ rate including service charges, excluding consumption tax and meal costs.

※Please note that accommodation tax will be levied for stays commencing on or after 1 April 2026, even for reservations made before that date.
